Dates for your Diary - 2012 The Children's groups' Winter Concert - Saturday 28 January 2012 at 2 pm, West St Leonards Community Primary School, Harley Shute Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, TN38 8BX. This year, we have made up our story based on the 'Mr. Men' books: 'Miss Scatterbrain Wins a Prize' 'Beyond Words', HASTINGS CONTEMPORARY YOUTH DANCE COMPANY will be performing at The Stables Theatre and Arts Centre, The Bourne, Old Town, Hastings, East Sussex on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 23, 24 and 25 February 2012 at 7.30 pm. A fun evening of creative, original and innovative contemporary dance, with modern, urban and traditional influences to a wide spectrum of music. Choreography is by Sue Marshall and the students, directed by Sue Marshall. This year's programme offers pieces of dance deriving from the spooky world of intrigue, with music by Tom Waits, to the lazy, relaxed, sunny world of Otis Redding on the dock of the bay. Contemporary dance is an art form that uses movement to express feelings and ideas. These are well portrayed in works from different starting points supported by a wide variety of exciting urban, modern and traditional music. The choreography is by the students themselves as well as collaborations with Sue Marshall. A great evening not to be missed!!!
